Dear Residents and Visitors,

This letter is to inform you of forthcoming demolition works taking place at the former Imossi Ford Showroom, where Imperial Ocean Plaza will be constructed.

We would also like to take this opportunity to provide you with information relating to the planned timeline of works over the coming weeks:

Demolition Works
Please be informed that demolition works will be starting on the 31th of March 2017 for a period of one month.

Start and duration of works – Imperial Ocean Plaza development
Preparatory works have already begun, with construction expected to commence in May. The construction works will continue until completion which is expected around late 2018 / early 2019.

Weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances may influence the progress of the work. All dates mentioned are therefore subject to change. Naturally, you will be informed in the event of any major changes.

Activities during the first phases of the development and how they will affect you
Excavation and piling works – foundations will be laid over the coming months using the most suitable micro-piling technique available so that there will be minimal disruption to residents living in adjacent properties.

During construction, the pedestrian path leading from Glacis Road to Ocean Village between Grand Ocean Plaza and the Imperial Ocean Plaza site will remain open. However, part of the pavement on the Glacis Road side will be replaced to create an access route into the construction site.

A pedestrian tunnel will be erected at the front of the Waterport Road side of the site and will remain throughout the construction period.

Hours of activity
The development has a permit to work under the following condition: No Excavation and/or piling equipment or other noise transmitting plant or machinery shall be operated on the premises before 8am and after 8pm on weekdays and before 10am and after 8pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. Should it be necessary to work outside these hours, everyone in the immediate neighborhood will be informed in advance.
